The Phase 2 grant, developed by the EBP Project to encourage the development and implementation of PLCs and data teams, is currently in its seventh year of supporting projects in Quebec’s English School Boards. It was created in response to the need for school teams to have time to learn and resources to make positive changes for teachers and students.

The 2017 edition of the certification and qualification report for Quebec secondary school students has been published. In Quebec, the overall graduation rate for the 2009 cohort is 80.1%. This includes students from the private and public sectors in both french and english schools.
The graduation rate for students registered in english schools is 85%, compared to 79.9% for those studying in french schools.

The final Lead Data Team seminar for 2017 took place April 27th and 28th in Bromont, Quebec. The team collaborated in Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and started planning for Action Research projects to be carried out next year. Some of the SIGs included, Response to Intervention (RTI), Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Flipped Classrooms and Student Engagement.
The projects will complement the Board initiatives, always with student success as the goal.Learn more

One way to mobilize your colleagues around professional collaboration is to use scales or descriptive rubrics to assess the current status of your team around a given set of competences.
